Sea kayaking is often a natural progression from flatwater kayaking, once you’ve mastered your strokes and are confident on the water you may find that it’s time to explore that great ocean. The Barracuda Beachomber is a real ultralight, in a class of it's own. At just 17kg the Beachcomber is every sea kayakers dream kayak, lighter and much tougher than fibreglass or kevlar, stiffer than polyethylene and just as durable and lighter than other vacuum formed plastic kayaks. Using the latest technology in vacuum forming the Barracuda Beachcomber sets the pace for kayaks of the future.

At just under 5m the Barracuda boasts a lean, ultralight hull with plenty of rocker, resulting in a quick yet manoeverable sea kayak suitable for all conditions.

The Mission Ecobezhig is an expedition sea kayak that can be used for both day and multi-day excursions. It is designed to track well and have an increased stability with a full load, this as well as many features designed for touring make it well suited for the serious tripper.

What we have found is that quite often bigger paddlers (blokes especially) find some of the smaller keyhole cockpits a bit restrictive. The EcoBezhig cockpit is roomy and comfortable even for the bigger Ozzie bloke.

Australis - Gecko (Made in AU)

The Australis Gecko is an excellent "day tripper", although the 2 sealed storage compartments provide room to store camping gear for 1 or 2 nights out and about. The bow of the Gecko is shaped so as to cut and lift above oncoming swell, whilst deflecting water away from the boat, so that the paddler remains dry.

Dagger - Trinidad - Double Sea Kayak (Made in AU)

The Dagger Trinidad is a true master of the sea for all conditions, with a long waterline for greater speed and tracking. Both cockpits are roomy and comfortable for short and long term trips, and the three hatches/bulkheads make sure there is enough storage room for multi-day expeditions.

Before selling our tours business to Ocean Planet we used to have a fleet of Dagger Trinidads, which proved to be by far the best fleet we ever owned. Prior to that we had the Q-Kayak Wanderers which were simply no comparison and then the Perception Contour Tandems, which were far less efficient and less able to handle choppy conditions.
Over the years we did not have a single tour customer capsize in a Trinidad
(except the few who have done it deliberately :)
