 | Recreational Sit In singles - Short (3m and Under)
We have highlighted the key features and benefits of each different model in order to make it easier for you to compare kayaks.
C-Kayak works hard to bring you the best brands at the best prices. If you can find a stocked item for a better price anywhere in Australia then we'll gladly better it by 5%.
The kayaks have been listed in order of length. A longer kayak is normally faster and more efficient than a shorter kayak of equal width, this is because of the extended water-line. A short, wide kayak will be more stable but not as fast.
Riot Quest 9.5 (2.9m) - The Riot Quest 9.5 is compact and has a deep keel front and rear for excellent tracking, padded thigh braces and padded, adjustable seat for extra comfort, dry storage compartment and rod holder. The Quest 9.5 is very competitively priced
Scorpio Perch (2.9m) - On a tight budget and just looking for something with no frills to get you onto the water for now, with the prospect of upgrading later, then the Scorpio Perch might be just what you need.
Hurricane Santee 100 (3m) - The Santee 100 is made of Trylon thermoformed plastic giveing it the look and feel of fibreglass, the weight of carbon but the durability of plastic. This is the toughest lightweight small recreational kayak on the market (Only 13kg). With padded seat and immaculate finish this is the ultimate in small recreational kayaks.
Riot Quest 10 (3m) - Exceptionally well priced the Riot Quest 10 is the larger version of the popular Riot Quest 9.5 (see above). The Quest 10 offers all the features of the Quest 9.5 but is slightly longer and has a more spacious cockpit, ideal for the larger paddler. It is not uncommon for a couple to purchase a Riot Quest 9.5 for the smaller partner and a Riot Quest 10 for the larger partner.
Riot Quest 10 HV (3m) - Wider than the Quest 10 and with additional rod holder, two drink holders, paddle keeper and day-hatch, the Quest 10 HV is very popular amongst the inland fishermen looking for something stable but manoeuvrable with plenty of storage and rod space.
